CYS Teachers Training Testimonials

" I loved so much about the (CYS) training - I don't know where to begin.."

...After attending another Ashtanga teacher training, I felt I needed a
deeper understanding of yoga philosophy. I was looking for the love,
peace, and joy side of yoga--I found it in Will's program at CYS! Will
knows how to gently coax the teacher out of you. He helps you become aware
of your inner voice in a supportive environment filled with love and
compassion. If you want to go deeper in your practice, and you want to
help others by learning to be an intuitive, gentle teacher, Will's CYS
yoga teacher training program is for you!  "
~Kelly Riccetti

" This teacher training has been more profound then I could have ever
imagined.  Will is the special kind of educator that doesn't just teach,
he enables and empowers.  I have gained the skills to feel confident as a
yoga teacher but at the same time the heart of this training was much
deeper.  Will's training opened up space for exploration, surrender,
connection, and limitless growth.  Perhaps the most important part is that
I know that this training has no real end, it has only opened a door,
leading to another door, another, and then another, forever.  I will be
living this training for the rest of my life. "
~ Ethan Philbrick

MEDITATION AT THE LABYRINTH

By Kelly A. Everman

Pause before entering, and reflect upon the journey that has gotten you to this moment in your life.  Slowly and fully breathe in and then out again…and step forward.  The way appears to be so simple, but know that it isn’t always easy.  There is no rush, no race here, as the spiral has its own pace and wisdom and cannot be forced.  Don’t worry, there’ll be stones along the way to guide you, markers and signs, although they may not always be perfectly placed, so stay aware.  There’ll be impediments, too, nature’s sprinkling of gifts across your path.  Clear it if you wish, though you may find that you’ve merely moved it onto another part of your journey – to be dealt with some other time.  Be still a moment, and recall other roadblocks you’ve encountered in your life, be they large or small…and ponder how you maneuvered around, over, or straight through them.  Were there times you were halted completely? What prompted you to begin again?  Where are you now?  Where are you going?    Seeker, the way cannot be found with your mind… it’s not for figuring out in advance; for as soon as you think you’ve understood its pattern, the route will detour, twist and turn you around in a most confusing kind of way.  Step instead with your heart. Be present and feel your way through with all of your senses and rely on your deepest knowing.  Trust yourself on this longest and darkest night of the year and remember that all of creation has it’s genesis in the void.  The light will return soon and clarity will come again.  Remember, you are never alone on this journey, though at times it will feel lonely.  Just look around and notice your fellow travelers on the path.  See how we sometimes walk in sync with one another and at other points we appear to be traveling in seemingly opposite directions.  Rest assured, we’re all on the same path, trying to find our way into the center of things and back out again.  Have compassion for wherever you are on your journey and respect where others are, too..   Feel your connection with everything and everyone.  Honor the miraculous similarities we share and appreciate our colorful differences, and celebrate your own unique nature.  With each step you take bless the sacred ground on whom you walk, savor the air you breathe, and give thanks… for all that you have been blessed with, for all that you have released, and for all that remains.

Namaste!

Kelly
