What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. Pre-registration Required by April 18 Call 227-3276 or 229-3778 or email julia@frankfortyoga.com

Yin Yoga Class
Time:
6:45 8pm
Cost:
$5 /class As part of the Yoga Teacher Training the students have learned Yin Yoga, and would like to offer a practice class to anyone interested. Slow, gentle yin yoga complements other more dynamic (yang) yoga practices in uniting body and mind. Yin Yoga combines slow, gentle breathing with passive relaxation to deeply stretch and gradually release tension, pain and toxins from the muscles, tendons and connective tissues. Yin yoga concentrates on opening the spine and major joints. Yin postures are held for 2 to 5 minutes, to concentrate on releasing connective tissues in targeted areas.
